The Carmen's Golfing Society is open to anyone in the Company.
Currently there are some 60 members, these are the main events
The Prince Arthur Trophy is played at Walton Heath.
(Teams of 4 from 60 Livery Companies take part in what is believed to be the largest one day competition in the country - they play 36 holes of foursomes for the prestigious 'Prince Arthur Trophy'. Only those Livery Companies whose teams finish in the top 40 are automatically selected the following year, the other 20 teams selected by ballot. A poor finish could see the team out of the competition for many years. The Carmen won in 1986 and came second in 2003 and 2009.)
The RLC Match pits the Society against the Royal Logistic Corps and the Gold and Silver Wyre Drawers at the Army Golf Club, Aldershot in late July or early August.
The Annual Golf Day in usually in early September and is open to all Carmen and their guests. It is always a relaxed and enjoyable day.
The Bruce Owen Memorial Charity Golf Day, an important fund-raiser for
the Carmen's Charity, is held in alternate years, usually during September. On 14th September 2017 this was combined with the Carmen's Annual Golf Day. It was held at Cuddington GolF Cub in Surrey. The 2017 winning team was "TEAM TOBY PAWSON". The next Charity Golf Day will be RELEASED SOON.
